About

Preventing, Restoring, Building, Uniting, Sustaining. As we grow, we learn and we act to empower those we work with in Thailand and Burma.

Openaid started in Melbourne, Australia, founded by our Executive Director Justin Whitecross in 2002. Openaid envisions a community of people creating responses to both reduce the poverty and exploitation of girls from poor families, and to lessen the long term damage to trafficked and abused girls.

We all know how useful passionate and committed people are at getting that message across

We are very excited about a new informal community of people, taking time out to discuss our objectives, offer advice and create special events to bring people face to face with Openaid and our cause.

Feel free to call us if you are passionate and aware of your goals, and eager to support initiatives investing in people and programs. In easy steps, you can be involved in raising awareness and support for girls vulnerable to abuse and exploitation in poor families in villages in Thailand, Burma, and Laos.

We want to establish a new community-based awareness campaign, driven from within an informal community of people and workplace networks. The network will design unique events that achieve targeted results to improve programs and services running in Southeast Asia and have an important influence in Australia.

We love to chat with passionate people, so if you have any queries about our organisation or how you can help us create avenues to establish this informal community of people, please call!
