About

Preventing, Restoring, Building, Uniting, Sustaining. As we grow, we learn and we act to empower those we work with in Thailand and Burma.

Openaid started in Melbourne, Australia, founded by our Executive Director Justin Whitecross in 2002. Openaid envisions a community of people creating responses to both reduce the poverty and exploitation of girls from poor families, and to lessen the long term damage to trafficked and abused girls.

Leadership for Change - are you ready?

The possibilities are endless when we aim to reach for the sky

Have you ever wonder what is our purpose on Earth?
To accumulate as much material goods, be as successful as the next billionaire or just taking life one day at a time and see what unfolds for you?

Many people say all they want in life is to be happy. And being happy to them means living a comfortable life, having a stable income and being around their families and loved ones. We live in a lucky country, and these things that we want are not hard to attain.

But for the disadvantaged and exploited in Southeast Asia, perhaps they need more than just hard work to come out of their poverty. They need our help.

Leadership for Change acts as a conduit for us to help them.

If you don’t know how to help or how you can contribute, don’t fret. That’s what we’re here for. At OpenAid’s Leadership for Change programme, we will work together in raising awareness for change, and you might just be our ambassador for change.

We’re still fine-tuning the intricacies of the framework and enhancing the programme so that it will be more relevant for you and the work that we aim to achieve. So do bear with us for the time being.

Interested? Send in your resume to office@openaid.org.au now!
